Lorelei Brown



After a semi-nomadic California childhood, Lorelie Brown attended high school in Orange County and joined the US Army. She traveled the world from South Korea to Italy before settling in Wisconsin.

During her career, Lorelie published two dozen works of romantic fiction. Her 2016 novel Far From Home became the first lesbian romance nominated for a RITA™ Award by the Romance Writers of America. In 2022, she earned a BA in history from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, realizing her dream of becoming a college graduate.

Lorelie passed away in 2023 following a valiant fight against cancer. She leaves behind three sons. Her literary estate is managed by her partner, Carrie Lofty, who co-wrote with Lorelie under the name Katie Porter.
